Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups call us into a deeper relationship with one another and with God. If you’re interested in meeting with a group of like-minded believers in order to know Jesus and one another better, then consider joining a Discipleship Group.

Discipleship Groups are made up of a small group of people who commit to read together, pray together and meet together with the expectation that they will share in God’s love together. These small but intentional communities are primed to experience the Lord’s presence and power in new ways. The concept goes back to the very beginnings of the Methodist movement. We use the term “band” as a noun to refer to a group, but it’s more easily understood as a verb. In other words, it’s a group that bands together, meeting regularly to seek Christ together.

Young Adult Ministries (Ages 18–35ish)

Our Young Adult Ministry is a place for connection, growth, and belonging as you navigate life, faith, and relationships. Whether you’re in college, starting a career, newly married, or figuring out what’s next, we want you to know you’re not meant to walk this season alone.

We offer a Young Adult Sunday School class that meets weekly and provides a welcoming space to dive into Scripture, ask real questions, and grow together in faith. This class is designed to be both grounding and practical, helping you apply God’s Word to everyday life.

In addition, our Rooted College Ministry meets every other Monday and is focused on building strong foundations of faith, community, and discipleship for college-age young adults. Rooted is a place to build meaningful relationships, be encouraged, and discover what it looks like to follow Jesus in this unique season.

Throughout the year, we also host Young Adult events that create space for fun, fellowship, and deeper connection—whether that’s through social gatherings, service opportunities, or special events. No matter where you’re coming from or how long you’ve been part of FMC Midlothian, there’s a place for you here.

Our hope is that every young adult feels known, supported, and encouraged to grow in their faith while building lasting relationships within our church family.

Senior Adults

Senior Adults

Our Senior Adult Ministries offer meaningful opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, and community in every season of life. Whether you’ve been walking with Christ for many years or are looking to deepen your faith alongside others, this ministry is a place to belong, grow, and stay connected.

We offer multiple Senior Adult Sunday School classes, each providing a welcoming environment to study Scripture, build relationships, and encourage one another through shared life experiences. These classes create space for conversation, prayer, and growing together in faith.

In addition, our Breakfast Club meets on the first Monday of each month for a time of breakfast, games, laughter, and fellowship. It’s a relaxed and joyful way to connect, build friendships, and enjoy community together.

Throughout the year, we also host a variety of Senior Adult events, including social gatherings, special outings, and opportunities to serve. No matter your stage of life or level of involvement, our Senior Adult Ministries are designed to help you stay engaged, supported, and connected within the life of our church.
