Meet the Staff
Rev. Brady Johnston, Senior Pastor
Brady and his family joined FUMC Midlothian in July 2016 and are proud residents of Midlothian. Brady has served in the United Methodist Ministry since he was 19 as a youth minister, associate pastor and senior pastor.
In addition to his call, Brady is a proud husband to his beautiful wife, Annie and father to Kinsley and Emerson. Annie serves in the area as a speech therapist. Together they spend most of their time chasing their sweet girls. When the girls do settle down it’s typically to watch their favorite movie, Frozen. In case you are wondering, yes, Pastor Brady has all the songs memorized too and no, he does not sing them on Sunday morning.
Rev. Dr. April Fehler, Executive Pastor
April became an associate pastor for FUMC Midlothian in July 2017. Passionate about serving the local community, she specializes in equipping church members to identify the needs of the local community and facilitates the development of programs to address those needs. As of January 2020, she became responsible for human resource management for the church as the Executive Pastor. She has been a pastor in the United Methodist church since 2014.
April is married to Damon Fehler, a local attorney, and has two sons, Ian and Drew. As a family, they enjoy raising chickens, participating in Scouts, performing in high school musicals, participating in Civil Air Patrol and flying gliders at the local glider port. The Fehlers have been residents of Midlothian since 2006.
Keelee Allen, Children’s Pastor
Keelee has blessed FUMC Midlothian as the Children’s Director since January of 2008. Keelee is passionate about children and passionate about Jesus, so Children’s Ministry is where she has found her fit in the Kingdom of God! Her bright smile and love for people helps children know they are welcome and wanted in our church family.
Keelee has four children: Bailey, Charlize, Tyler, and Truett. They are active in our community and are involved in various organizations. Her kids make life fun, interesting and more blessed! In Keelee’s spare time, you will find her taking pictures, hanging out with her family and friends, cooking, volunteering, and usually barefoot. Despite her energetic attitude and busy life, her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Josh Snodgrass, Youth Pastor
Josh joined the team at FMC Midlothian in the Spring of 2023 and has been making an IMPACT with our students ever since! Josh believes that our kids can make a huge impact in this world through the love of Christ and wants all the kids to know the love that Jesus has for them. He resides in Midlothian with his beautiful wife Bekah, their son Caleb, and their dogs and is currently in seminary.
Laurie Duke, Director of Music Ministries for Traditional Worship
Laurie joined FUMC Midlothian staff as an organist in September 2020 and was promoted to Director of Music Ministries for Traditional Worship in August of 2022. She studied music education at Navarro College and transferred to Baylor University to study church music, receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music with Piano Concentration. Laurie has held the position of church accompanist at many different churches in Texas and Missouri.
Laurie is married to Ralph Duke. They have 4 children – Hannah, Caleb, Rachel and Timothy. Their family moved to Midlothian in 2015. Laurie has served as the Choir and Musical Theatre Accompanist at Waxahachie High School since 2013. She has also taught private piano and voice lessons since 1990. Laurie and her family are members of Rock City Fellowship.
Jason Westbrook, Contemporary Worship Leader
Jason received his Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and has been serving at FUMC Midlothian since November 2011, after 7 years of working with youth at Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville, TX. Jason originally joined us as to lead contemporary worship and our youth; however, in 2020 Jason was called into focusing on leading worship. He is passionate about our Lord, music and leading contemporary worship. Jason is married to his beautiful wife, Raquel, and they have three precious children. Together, they also lead a discipleship group.
Mary Beth Mayo, Administrative Assistant
“I am blessed to be able to live and work in my passion: serving and teaching others.” Mary Beth has served at FUMC Midlothian since November, 2014. She arrived with eight years prior experience as a church administrative assistant. She is fond of reading, loves a wide variety of music, and enjoys being outdoors – whether it be gardening, hiking or relaxing near the water. Mary Beth has two grown children, one in Waxahachie and the other in Austin as well as two grandchildren in each of those cities (a total of four). She enjoys watching them participate in their sports activities, school programs and learning to love and live.
Barry Hornburg, Finance Administrator
Valerie Dick, Media Director
Valerie has been a member of FUMC Midlothian since 2003 and joined the staff in April of 2018. She has served in Godly Play, ESL classes and various other ministries in her time here as a member. Valerie received her BA in Marketing & Management. In 2005, she left the corporate world to focus on her family and her small photography business which she ran for ten years.
Valerie is married to Chris and they are proud parents of two very active boys. As a family they love to spend time together and with their extended family. They like to be active, get outdoors and watch ball games (if they are’t playing themselves). Chris and Valerie both have helped coach their boys various teams and Valerie continues to play soccer. She co-leads a women’s discipleship group and her favorite scripture is Romans 5:3-4: “...but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.“
Tyler Coherd, A/V Director
Matt Sanders, Facilities Manager
Matt has been a member of FUMC Midlothian for over 15 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University and works outside of the church as well. Matt and his family are very involved in both the church and the community of Midlothian. He has always enjoyed using his God given construction abilities to serve our church and try to create a wonderful place to worship.
